Company Bio

Midway Production Services began as simple business arrangement between Andrew Swanson and John Haramis in 1991. From that simple start and an initial goal to provide the best quality sound reinforcement locally, the company has continued to grow and has become a well respected production services vendor.

Midway has provided sound reinforcement services throughout southwest Virginia at nearly every venue - large and small - for inumerable local, regional, and national acts as well as corporate event clients.

John Haramis
Managing Member, Administration/Business


John has worked in the event production industry since 1990, initially specializing in audio systems as a freelance technician. His skill set has grown to include strong competencies in live event lighting, video, rigging, staging, and decor. He has been a cardholder and member in good standing of I.A.T.S.E. Local 55 since 2010. He holds both B.S. (2004) and M.S. (2007) degrees in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech. In addition to working as a primary technician on shows, John handles our back office management and financial functions.
Eric Steinberg
Managing Member, Operations Manager/System Design


Eric became involved in production work while an undergrad at Virginia Tech, volunteering for VTU Concerts on a regular basis. Also during his time at VT, Eric worked as a supervisor for the university's in-house production services department. He has been involved with Midway as a primary show technician since 2005, and also coordinates the majority of the company's day-to-day operations. Eric holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and is also a card-holding rigger for I.A.T.S.E. Local 55 in Roanoke, VA.

Gordon Grzybowski


Gordon got his start in 1989 with a band called "Rare Days" in Tidewater, VA. He has been working as an audio engineer ever since, included time at WVEC Channel 13 in Norfolk, Onyx Engineering, and Craftwork Sound and Production.
Camille Hodges
Business Development

Camille got her start in the production industry in 2004. She started as a stagehand with I.A.T.S.E. Local 55 in Roanoke, VA. Shortly after, she worked in southern Louisiana for several production companies assisting in concert and festival production. She came back a year later and worked as a freelance technician in southwest VA while completing her business degree at Virginia Tech. She has come to specialize in lighting for a wide range of events including weddings, festivals, corporate events, and concerts. Camille has been a part of the Midway team since 2006 and has not only brought her production skills to the company, but also a firm knowledge of business and marketing.
